Elisa Nerli, Ph.D.

Ph.D. in Cell and Developmental Biology

Hello, I'm Elisa Nerli and this is my homepage.

I am currently a post doctoral researcher in Developmental Biology and Genetics in the lab of Dr. Rita Mateus at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics and at the Physics of Life cluster of excellence at TUD . I obtained my Ph.D. in Cellular and Developmental Neurobiology from the lab of Dr. Caren Norden at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden and at the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência in Lisbon. I got a Bachelor degree in Biology at the University of Pisa and a Master degree in Neuroscience at the University of Trieste (a joint Master course with SISSA).

I am interested in understanding how tissues organize and pattern themselves during development. Througout my career, I have used quantitative and multidisciplinary tools to study the processes of cell fate decisions and growth control in the context of tissue development, regeneration, and disease. I am also a microscopy geek!

In the Downloads section, you will find a collection of lecture notes I wrote and made available to everyone.

Enjoy!
