Some model theoretic questions, such as the existence of saturated models for some cardinality, can depend on set-theoretic assumptions. We will see an example of that in the general case of Abstract Elementary Classes (including the classical first order theory): categoricity and few models can imply amalgamation under a weak version of GCH, but fail to do so under other axioms.
